Janice Powell grew up in the Missouri Ozarks, but Oklahoma has been home almost since she and Ted were newlyweds. When he landed his airline dream job, the couple loaded up their yellow Chevy truck and red Oldsmobile with their meager belongings and two cats and headed west.

Janice encountered Christ at VBS at age 9, and since then, the Lord has mercifully worked on growing her up in Him. With several health issues diagnosed in recent years, she is a frequent flyer at various doctor’s offices and hospitals and is grateful for the Lord’s strength and faithfulness to hold her together throughout her journey.

She is fascinated with words and seeks to arrange them in ways that draw readers to Christ, bring a smile, spark a profound thought, and inspire hope. When she is not writing, Janice enjoys walking on low-humidity days, admiring sunsets, playing the piano, drinking tea, and (desperately) finding ways to make chocolate healthier.
